ADVANCED INTERNATIONAL SEMINARS OF DISCOURSE STUDIES

Starting in 2026, the Centre of Discourse Studies will organise International Advanced Seminars of Discourse Studies (AISDS) for specialists in various fields of discourse studies, such as PhD students and scholars in any discipline of the humanities and social sciences. Each seminar will be conducted by a prominent international scholar whose work is widely cited and used. The aim of AISDS is to update specialists on the latest theoretical and methodological developments in the field, to engage in sophisticated analysis and discussion, and to communicate personally with the eminent scholar they have been reading for years. Participants will have the opportunity to present their recent research to an international group of specialized researchers. For each group, a maximum of 20 people from different countries will be selected by the specialist who is conducting the Seminar.

The Seminars will have variable formats, but in principle they will consist of 10 weekly sessions of 3 hours online including 1 hour of active contributions of two of the participants. The price our advanced seminars is 950€ for the full course, with the course certificate and extended access to course content included in this price.

We will provide more information about our first Advanced International Seminar of Discourse Studies in the coming weeks!
