ABOUT THE MODULE
Do you have difficulties or doubts with the writing, methodology, or another aspect of your research? Do you want new ideas and the support of other students and researchers? Sign up for our Spring Brainstorming Module, where we help each other in a constructive and collaborative environment. With this initiative, we hope to open a peer-organized space for students and researchers in Discourse Studies to strengthen their research and knowledge while establishing connections with others in the field.
Spots are limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Session Details:
-
Each session lasts 2 hours.
-
We will focus on 2 participants per session.
-
Each participant will have 5 minutes to introduce their work or challenge.
-
1 hour of focused feedback from peers will follow each presentation.
-
A 15-minute coffee break will be included in between for informal discussion and relaxation.
-
Peer Feedback: Get supportive and constructive feedback from peers who understand the challenges of research. This is a chance to refine your work with new perspectives that could highlight areas you might not have considered.
-
Mandatory Participation: With only 8 participants, your attendance is key.
-
Preparation: Please send the parts of your work you'd like feedback on 48 hours before the session so everyone can read and come prepared. You don’t need a finished draft to participate, feel free to join even if you only have an outline or are still shaping your ideas.
The first session will be facilitated by Dr. Gülce Şafak Özdemir, who holds PhD at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and was recently awarded the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship at the Harvard University and University of Birmingham.
