Workshop description:

The winter workshop in text analysis aims to apply the knowledge acquired during the fall course in discourse analysis. The workshop focuses particularly on analyzing the reproduction of ideology through discourse. Racist, anti-racist, feminist, sexist, environmentalist, anti-capitalist, anarchist, and gender diversity discourses, among others, are analyzed.

The purpose of this workshop is to show how to conduct an ideological discourse analysis, indicate the most important methodological aspects, and apply them to various discourses that can reproduce ideologies: news, advertisements, manifestos, political slogans, political statements, parliamentary speeches, etc.

The workshop is useful for anyone conducting research in the field of Critical Discourse Analysis.
