COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Critical Discourse Analysis is a tool that studies social phenomena from an inter- and multidisciplinary perspective. It takes into account various cognitive, textual, social, historical and multimodal aspects. In this course we focus on practical aspects of Critical Discourse Analysis and delve into social issues such as discrimination, sexism, feminism, anti-racism, etc.
The course is aimed at people who study, research or are interested in the use of Discourse Analysis to study social issues from a critical point of view. It is given by Dr. César Rojo, professor at the Centre of Discourse Studies.
