2nd International Meeting on Discourse and Social Protest 

The Research Group on Discourse and Social Protest (GIDyP) of the Centre of Discourse Studies is organizing the 2nd International Meeting on Discourse and Social Protest.

The international meeting will be held in person and online on the 5th and 7th of June, 2023, at the Centre of Discourse Studies (Plaça del Bonsuccés 7, entresuelo 6, 08001 Barcelona).

ABOUT THE EVENT

 

Social protests have grown and diversified in the world, from left to right, due to various social, political and economic factors. The objective of this meeting is to explore the event of social protest from the perspective of media discourse and the discourse of social movements. 

 

The conference will feature a lecture by researcher Paolo Gerbaudo (King’s College London), who will talk about the relationship between social movements and political discourse in social networks.
